Kobba Café & Sjömansbar
The café at Kobba Klintar serves coffee, pastries, sandwiches and the local specialty Åland pancake (Ålandspannkaka) during the high season, from Tuesday to Sunday. It is also open whenever the flag is up.
In the white beacon (Båken), you’ll find an exhibition about the association Kobba Klintars Vänner. It is open during the café’s opening hours. You can also visit the old pilot house from 1910, complete with its foghorn, and learn more about the island’s history. Take a walk among the rocks, enjoy the open sea views and discover artwork by Åland-based artist Juha Pykäläinen. Large cruise ships pass close by, creating an impressive sight.
Kobba Klintar is just a 10-minute boat ride from Mariehamn. You can get there by private boat or taxi boat. In summer, the tour boat Fiskelyckan runs daily from the Western Harbour, next to the museum ship Pommern. Taxi boat services, such as Shipland, also offer trips to the island.
