Lassas - Långnäs 1,8 km

The trail goes on flat terrain, apart from two short uphills. The trail rounds a small headland that juts out into Kyrksundet. The trail runs just a couple of metres from the shoreline and offers nice views of the bay and landscape. The surface is varied with mostly lowland shorelines, but with many stones. The trail also leads through a small seaside meadow with tall birch trees, and over footbridges built across wetland areas, and through a forest. Along the trail there is a small skerry with smooth rocks and a picnic table with a barbecue grill. The skerry is named after Anton Eklund. He was an enterprising person who in the 1930s had a fish smokery near the skerry. On the seashore on the opposite side of the bay the old and the new meet; there are remnants of a seaplane jetty built during WW1 and a modern windmill park built in 2021.

Enjoy nature! Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footsteps.

Terrain: Varied terrain with some rocky areas. NB! Wet rocks can be slippery and some surfaces are wet when the sea level is high.
Signposts: White-topped poles.
