Prästgårdsnäset 2,1 - 2,6 km − nature’s spirit and richness in historical landscape

Prästgårdsnäset with its hazelnut groves, stately ash and oak hills, and beautiful seaside meadows have been used as a pasture of the nearby Finström vicarage. Pasturing has together with the comparatively lime-rich soil resulted in rich flora with some 200 species. Spring bloom in May is outstanding when the hazel groves and oak woods are covered by blue and white anemones, ramsons, fumeworts, spring peas and lesser celandines. Marsh-marigolds can be found in the shade of alder trees above the coastal meadows. A rich bird life and autumn colours also offer nice nature experiences.

This is a nature reserve, please follow the marked trails. You may not break branches, pick berries, mushrooms, plants, mosses, lichens, fire wood or stones. From May until October there are grazing cattle in the area. Dogs must be kept on leash.

Enjoy nature! Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footsteps.
