Skarpnåtö homestead museum

Experience the early 1700’s in a well-preserved environment!

The homestead museum in Skarpnåtö originates from the early 1700’s and is one of the oldest and best maintained farmsteads in Åland.

Parts of the well-known film, “Stormskärs Maja”, were filmed in this environment. Previously, the films "Iris" (2011) and "Stormskärs Maja" (1976) have also been recorded.

At the homestead, you can stroll around at your own pace and look through the gates into the houses. This year a new space will be opened for display.

Sheepskins, rag rugs and books with a local connection are for sale.
